In Search of a New NFL Team: San Francisco 49ers

I am on a quest to find a new NFL team. I'm going team by team to find out which team is the best fit for me. Now let's look at the NFC West. These might be the shortest posts on my blog to date but here we go. I have to pick one of them.

After looking through the teams in the NFC West this team seems to be the safest. They have a lot of talent but can't seem to get rid of Alex Smith. They do have one of my favorite defensive players in Patrick Willis. He's All-Pro ALL THE TIME. I love watching this guy play.I really like Vernon Davis when he tries. This team is so full of potential they just REALLY need a QB. They got rid of Mike Singletary so that's a plus. Their new coach Jim Harbaugh took Stanford from being the smart kids in the Pac-10 to a real contender for the crown. He's young, energetic, and has a proven winning record. They also have similar colors to my high school that I spoke about in my Chiefs post. One of the main things going for this team is the history. No one would bat an eye if I started wearing 49ers gear because they were THAT good when I was a child. Many people latch on to teams as a child because they are winning. Well guess who was winning when I was growing up- Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and then Steve Young. This is a no-brainer for this division.

PHEW! I'm taking a short break to re-group after going through the West. Next on my list- the AFC North. Should be a battle as always.
