I was watching Glee the other night and it just baffles me every week how short their theme "song" is. It's one note. They sing the word Glee under a black screen with Glee written on it. Another show I watch, Modern Family, is also short but it at least shows the characters. I miss the days of the long opening credits. When I heard the theme music it got me ready for the show. Now it's just short little blurbs with the credits placed on the screen once the show has begun. I watch Bonanza and Charlie's Angels almost every day and those were THEME SONGS. **For those of you questioning my age NO I was NOT around when Bonanza and Charlie's Angels first aired. They are new to me now.** The Charlie's Angels theme even reminds you of the show's premise and whether it's a Farrah Fawcett show or a Cheryl Ladd show. Dynasty and Dallas were also great themes with each character getting their own face time and name graphic. Who can forget the Cosby Show, Golden Girls, or Who's the Boss? I still remember those opening songs by heart. There is one current show that I watch that has a full open credit and I think it's great, Parenthood. What theme songs do you remember? What were some of your favorites?
Here are a few of mine:

In no particular order...(1) Golden Girls - LOVE that theme song, have sung it do some of my really good friends...made both of us cry (2) A Different World - the Boyz II Men version (3) Reba - That chick is super cool (4) Amen - SHINE ON ME!! There are others, but I need to stop somewhere....
